There are many reasons to dance, perhaps for fun or exercise, for discipline, technique, and training, to express yourself artistically, or to connect to yourself or your partner in a new way. At Melonlight our focus is on cultivating awareness and intention in your movement. This type of training and practice may help a pre-professional dancer attain the next level, or may help someone with a sedentary lifestyle regain health and mobility. Behind all the reasons we dance, there is beauty.
We train dancers in technique, discipline, presence, expression, musicality, and artistry. With consistent practice students will improve strength, flexibility, endurance, posture, and confidence. We offer an array of dance styles including partnership, contemporary, and hip hop; view the styles page for a detailed listing. Students may register for private lessons, group classes, workshops, and performances.
